Community agreement

Terms of Use

These Terms set the ground rules for a respectful, adult-managed community. By signing up or using the website, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy and Safety & community disclaimer.

Who may use the Village

You must be at least 18 years old and able to act for your family to create or manage an account. Provide accurate information, keep your password private, and promptly update information that changes. Children may participate in family activities, but they may not create or manage accounts.

Community conduct

Treat families respectfully. Do not harass, threaten, impersonate, discriminate against, exploit, or endanger anyone; post unlawful, deceptive, sexually explicit, or harmful material; collect another member’s private information; spam members; bypass a block; or misuse the website. Follow event rules and all applicable laws.

Profiles, content, and permission to display it

You retain ownership of content you submit. You give Our Homeschool Village a limited, nonexclusive permission to host, store, reproduce, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service. You confirm that you have permission to share the content, including recognizable photos. You may remove your content where the website provides that control, subject to limited legal and safety retention.

Connections and member-organized activities

The website helps families find one another and may review event listings, but a profile, match, approval, or listing is not an endorsement or guarantee. Families and event organizers remain responsible for their choices, supervision, transportation, costs, permissions, and activities. The Safety & community disclaimer is part of these Terms.

Safety, moderation, and account access

We may review reports, remove content, limit features, suspend access, or close an account when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, respond to legal obligations, or protect the community. Members may block and report others. In an emergency, contact emergency services rather than relying on the website.

Availability and responsibility

We work to keep the service useful and secure, but it may change, be interrupted, or contain member-provided information that is incomplete or inaccurate. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available without promises that it will be uninterrupted or suitable for every purpose. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited.

Ending use and changes

You may deactivate your profile or request deletion in Account settings. We may update these Terms as the community and features change. Continued use after updated Terms take effect means you accept the updated Terms. These Terms are governed by North Carolina law, without overriding any consumer protection that applies to you.
